Hilton and Carnival named among Australia’s best workplaces – Travel Weekly

Hilton has been recognized by Great place to work institute as one of Australia’s greatest companies to work for, while Carnival took a place in the middle of the list.

Hilton ranked fifth on the Top 50 list for companies with over 1,000 employees. This marks the fourth time Hilton has been named to the top of this list.

This assessment is based on Great Place to Work certificates awarded in New Zealand, Fiji and Papua New Guinea.

Paul Hutton, Area Vice President and Head of Australia, Hilton, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be recognized once again by Great Place to Work Institute as the leading hospitality company to work in Australia.

“This recognition is a tremendous testament to our industry-leading practices and purpose-driven culture that provides our team members with excellent workplace environments, diverse career opportunities and rewarding benefits.”

Mary Hogg, regional director, human resources, Australasia, Hilton, added: “This accolade is a credit to all our dedicated team members, who are the foundation of what we do; who work tirelessly and passionately to provide our guests with memorable and heartfelt experiences, and to that end, we are committed to creating the best and most inclusive Hilton home – a welcoming environment that fosters inclusion, well-being and growth and inspires our team members to bring their best selves to work every day.”

Carnival managed to take 18th place on the list of the best medium-sized companies to work for.

“We are naturally proud that Carnival Australia has received this accolade because we work hard to build a workplace where people are respected and their talents nurtured,” said Carnival Australia and P&O Cruises Australia president Marguerite Fitzgerald.

“However, this honor goes to our people for their dedication and resilience during a very challenging period and now with their enthusiasm for rebuilding as our cruise lines and ships return to service.

“Not only did Carnival Australia take a two-year hiatus from cruises recognized as one of the best places to work, but the trend continues as it helps rebuild the cruise industry and charts its course for 2023 and beyond.”

94 per cent of Carnival Australia employees said their workplace was a great place to work, a similar result to last year.

“Such a strong response from our people inspires us as an organization to maintain positive momentum based on the values our people clearly share,” Fitzgerald said.
