MILL CREEK, Wash., September 3, 2022 – Hundreds came to celebrate the beautiful cultures of Latin America during Gold Creek’s Hispanic Heritage en Español event today, where many learned about Latino Hispanic cultures through music and dance.
The event began with a concert in the Forum at noon, followed by a parade down Main Street at 2 p.m., and ending with a Festival at Gold Creek Community Church featuring entertainment, food and traditional Latin American activities.
“Having this in Mill Creek demonstrates the city’s commitment to honoring the diversity, culture and contributions of all Latino peoples in the United States and our region.” said Lynnwood Councilwoman Julieta Altamirano-Crosby.
This day of celebration coincides with Hispanic Heritage Month that begins on September 15 and includes the 2022 theme, Unidos: Inclusion for a Stronger Nation.
