Hotel Windsor Marapendi, in Rio, welcomes guests to the opening of Lisbon Gastronomic Week. The event was promoted by the chains Dom Pedro, Hotels & Golf Collection and Windsor Hoteis and sponsored by Turismo de Lisboa and the airline TAP Air Portugal.
The opening dinner for guests of the Gastronomic Week of Portugal, held this Tuesday, September 6, at the Windsor Marapendi Hotel, in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, brought together Portuguese and Brazilian dignitaries. Portuguese dishes prepared by four hands were the highlight of the menu.
Among the guests, some familiar faces to the general public and born in Portugal, such as actors Ricardo Pereira – master of ceremonies – together with his wife Francisca Pinto, Paulo Rocha and Juliana Pereira. In addition to them, the couples Murilo Rosa and Fernanda Tavares and Thiago Martins and Talita Nogueira, actor Nando Rodrigues, director Vinicius Coimbra and actresses Chris Vianna, Maria Joana and Priscila Sztejnman were present.
In an initiative of the Portuguese Network Dom Pedro Hotels & Golf Collection and in partnership with the Windsor Hoteis Network and the sponsorship of the airline TAP Air Portugal and Turismo de Lisboa, the objective was to promote the gastronomic exchange between the two countries, bringing delicious recipes to Brazil i Portuguese country.
The festival was part of the Brazil-Portugal partnership, which took place for the first time in 2019 in Brasília and in the Portuguese capital in June.
The menu was signed by the executive chef of the Dom Pedro Lisboa hotel, Gil Martins, and by the chef Antonio Passos, of the Windsor Brasilia hotel.
The menu had eight different types of main dishes: a thousand cod leaves with potato bra, oven-baked octopus tentacles, traditional Portuguese duck rice, roast lamb, squid marinated in green juice, fried spinach with pine nuts and potatoes baked, as well as types of cheeses from Portugal, such as Serra cheese, sheep cheese, among others. For dessert, some traditional desserts, such as farofia with egg cream and cinnamon, crème brulee, Papos de Anjo and other delicacies.
On December 7 and 8, the dinner will be open to the public for R$ 200.00 + 10% tax per person, including soft drinks, beer and Portuguese white and red wines.
