Over 300 million people use Twitter every month and the number of daily active users is 186 million. These users post 6,000 Tweets every second which brings it to 500 million Tweets per day.
Over 60% of Twitter users are under the age of 35-65. Over 70% of users visit Twitter several times a day to stay updated on the latest news, updates and events around the world.
But this begs the question, how can a brand or business use Twitter for promotion?

8. Spy and research on competitors– Simply search for your competitors, follow and check their Twitter timeline feeds to see what they are posting. Spy and follow their strategies. For example, steal their hashtags that they use frequently. What type of post content are they posting and also following their followers to grow their follower base. Use any third-party tools to track and implement similar or improved marketing strategies as your competitors. It can help you choose proven strategies and avoid making the same mistakes as your competitors.
