How To Delete Your Old Tweets And Likes | by Soaster App | Aug, 2022

Sometimes you change your mind, your choices, or your lifestyle, and you may want to delete something you’ve shared on Twitter in the past. Sometimes you might accidentally like or retweet a post that embarrasses you or damages your brand’s reputation, and you can’t find that retweet or like. In such a situation you should know how to delete your old tweets and likes.

Finding and deleting an old tweet takes time. Most of the time you don’t remember when you posted it. Maybe you might want to search for a specific word or username, but among so many tweets, it’s really hard to find it.

With Soaster, you can easily search your Twitter history and get rid of unwanted tweets, retweets or likes.

First, register for a new Soaster account. You can also choose to sign in with your Twitter, Facebook or Apple account. The next step is to add your Twitter account to Soaster.

After the end,

Click on “Delete Tweets” button on your dashboard.

Here you have three options. You can;

  • delete yours tweets,
  • delete yours like,
  • delete yours retweet.

For each option using “Search on Twitter” on the right side, you can type a keywordsor Usernameor hashtag or a date to find what you want to delete.

After you do the search, Soaster lists results. From the list, you can select spam tweets, retweets or likes and delete them. To avoid deleting something you might want to keep, we recommend clicking on the “Preview” button before deleting it. Here is an example search:

You can also sort the results by the content of the message (in alphabetical order), from dateor from number of retweets or like. By sorting results by date, it’s easier to delete tweets, RTs, and likes before or after a certain time.

Another option is mass sweeping. At the top left of the page, you can select the entry number to be listed (from 10 to 50). If you want to delete in bulk, select “Show all“. All your tweets, likes or retweets are listed in seconds. Check the box at the top, click “Delete selected tweets / likes / retweets” and everything is gone!

Due to Twitter’s rate limit, when you select Show All, the last 3,200 records are required. If you want to delete more than 3200 entries, you must repeat this process.
