STEPS TO DISABLE COMMENTS ON TWITTER:
Step 1: While composing a tweet, the user will have an option at the bottom that says ‘Reply all’. Tap on it.
Step 2: The above option helps Twitter users know who to reply to and who to ignore.
Step 3: Twitter will now show three options, which are as follows:
- All
- People you follow
- Only the people you mention
Step 4: Choose one of the three options given above.
Step 5: Only the selected people should reply, then the user should select “only the people you mention”.
Step 6: If the user wants to stop someone from replying, then they can simply tag a friend who won’t reply.
Step 7: Once the above step is done, none of the Twitter users will be able to reply to your tweets.
STEPS TO FACT RETWEETING ON TWITTER:
Step 1: Go to the account profile page.
Step 2: Tap next on the icon with three dots present on the screen.
Step 3: Now choose to disable retweets to stop receiving tweets from the respective Twitter account.
Step 4: Specifically, iOS users can click on the gear icon and android users can select the overflow icon.
Step 5: According to the Twitter company, the on and off option is not retroactive. Therefore, retweets from the past will exist as they were in the timeline.
