IBGE forecasts inflation of 5.90% for Brazil in 2022

IPCA-15 (Broad National Index of Consumer Prices 15) ended 2022 at 5.90%. The monthly rate increased by 0.52% in December.

The index is considered a pre-inflation index. The IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics) published the result this Friday (December 23).

In November, IPCA-15 increased by 0.53%. The accumulated figure for the October-December quarter was 1.21%.

The preliminary rate of inflation slowed from 6.17% to 5.9% in the 12 months. Last year it was closed with 10.42%.
