Ibis Libris Editora launches “The Abecedário que se Fingiu de Mudo”, by the Mozambican Ernesto Moamba, known as the ‘Son of Africa’ for the subject of his writing.

The work is a reflection on the need to know who we are and what our value is.

Ibis Libris Editora, in its 22nd anniversary year, launches its 600th book, “O ABECEDÁRIO QUE SE FINGIU DE MUDO”, by Ernesto Moamba, from Mozambique, written in 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic and illustrated by Lino, also from Mozambique.

According to Angelina Neves, who signs the introduction: “This tale makes us reflect on the need to know who we are and what our value is. It teaches us that when we are aware of what we are and what we are worth, we don’t need to love or show others that we are bigger or better than them. My wish is that many children can eat the fruits of your tree and that the seed of these values that we seem to lack remains in them: the certainty of being great, good and honest. And it is my dream that children always find a way to feel and make poetry”.
