In a September interview that went viral on social media on Sunday, a United Nations operative admitted that the US government-funded organization “partnered with Google” to manipulate the results returned by the world’s dominant search engine for the phrase ” climate change”.
This comes after numerous accidental revelations that, yes, politics controls information on monopoly technology platforms. In fact, government officials all the way up to the White House routinely use Big Tech to control what citizens are allowed to say to each other online, as an ongoing lawsuit by several US attorneys general recently revealed .
The Biden White House is fighting further revelations about the involvement of high-level federal officials in this censorship regime under government pressure, including Anthony Fauci and the White House press secretary. The companies involved include Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter, court documents state.
Earlier this year, a video of Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg — who threw away hundreds of millions of dollars taken from his communications monopoly to help Democratic activists get into elected government offices in 2020 — also went viral. He showed it by telling podcaster Joe Rogan that the FBI also controls the information Facebook allows people to share. FBI interference affected the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.
In other words, it is not only communist China where citizens’ access to knowledge is controlled by government officials. It is now a global phenomenon. Google, Facebook, Twitter and other Big Tech companies are global monopolies headquartered in the United States whose information monopolies influence elections globally. Again, them accept for restricting and amplifying election-influencing information at the behest of US officials. (No wonder China won’t allow Google or Facebook inside its Great Firewall.)
In countries that claim to be self-governing “democracies” like the United States, government officials controlling what information is allowed to spread on platforms that government policies help to keep dominant is blatant election interference. It is controlling elections by controlling the information that voters receive.
Google controls a reported 81 percent of Internet searches and, with Facebook, influences perhaps three-quarters of all Internet traffic (very recent information on this doesn’t easily appear at the top of DuckDuckGo’s results either). Twitter is much smaller in terms of traffic, but still very influential, as it has a disproportionate effect on the swamp class. If these entities promote certain topics – and we know they do because they say it publicly! — they could easily change the choices, or pretty much anything else they wanted, really.
Just think about it: How will you learn about important events without the Internet? Even if we start with personal matters: What if Facebook decides to manipulate your feed just to see how it affects your emotions? Oh, do you still do that with teenage girls on Instagram?
For political news, how would you achieve this without using the internet now – would you read a local paper? To the extent that reliable information exists and reports, which is almost non-existent, so-called local newspapers are now themselves derivatives of Big Tech, as journalists primarily get their information through email and searches, as well as access to Theirs work is influenced by search engines.
Would you receive your information by email? Email providers also censor based on policy. Maybe by phone or text? Well, how many people can you talk or message at the same time? It’s not enough to get really good coverage of national information relevant to, say, the election of a president. How many good national political reporters can you get on speakerphone?
Zuckerberg’s recent limited meetings with the UN official are also clearly just the tip of the iceberg. The FBI and other government agencies don’t need to tell Facebook to withhold information that damages the regime if the media that the social media companies don’t throttle refuses to cover it.
A recent example is the FBI’s out-of-control raid on a pro-life activist father on a misdemeanor charge that local police dismissed. That raid was not covered by the left-wing media that Big Tech’s compromised fact-checkers value in ways that allow them to spread information faster and farther than the conservative media.
This situation allows government officials to choose what information they receive about their activities. This effectively ends real public accountability. Voters can’t vote to stop things they don’t know are happening, or to do things they haven’t heard a candidate offer. If a dad gets raided because the FBI bigwigs don’t like his politics and Big Tech’s favorite media companies don’t report on it, how will anyone know? If no one knows, no one can hold bad actors accountable.
That means if no one but the victims knows, it will not only keep happening, it will get worse. This is how corruption works.
US intelligence agencies in particular have paid exactly zero fines for using their powers to overtly interfere in US elections. The most recent operation they conducted that we know about is covert Russian fraud designed to keep voters from electing Donald Trump, or, failing that, to make Trump’s election meaningless by a majority of voters of the Electoral College.
Because officials like Bill Barr and John Durham, as well as Republicans or anyone else in Congress, have failed to criminalize the election interference operations of the FBI and the Department of Justice, they are growing. RedState, Tucker Carlson and Steve Bannon say several dozen Trump associates and supporters have recently been raided or subpoenaed by the FBI.
The FBI is also meddling in state elections by investigating candidates based on their political positions. He raided the home of a former president with ludicrous accusations similar to those the FBI director leveled against that president’s election opponent.
Also, of course, the FBI and DOJ are going after political opponents of Democrats on charges of broad wrongdoing and making sure they get the maximum sentence, all clearly based on political bias, not justice. This is the same FBI that has been proven to hide behind false pretenses of “national security” and to lie to judges and grand juries to authorize spying and raids on Democratic political opponents, with no consequences to speak of yet. Other government agents are conducting similar political prosecutions, such as using the courts to harass and subpoena Trump associates like Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro, and New York State’s newly announced family and business prosecution of Trump.
Federal agencies conduct mass warrantless surveillance of Americans. The Biden administration has officially declared that disagreement with its policies could constitute “domestic terrorism,” giving federal agencies even more license to harass Americans about their speech and ideas under the shield of “national security” accountability. Given the prosecutions we’ve all followed for years of Trump and any associates using what were later proven to be twisted and fabricated quotes and accusations, do any of us think we’d survive if this Eye of Sauron would turn on us, how is it routinely even for apolitical people like small farmers?
Of course not – and that’s part of the point. This is the kind of compliance-inducing terror that is projected onto citizens, not in self-governing societies, but in police states. The Covid-tide proved that the conditions are almost in place to abandon the regime’s cover story that we live in a completely self-governing society.
Because during those years, Americans were fed lie after lie, after misrepresentation, after conspiracy after cover-up, with powerful effects on the election. As with the FBI, almost no one has been held accountable yet. So information control operations are getting bigger and bolder. We are even told about them as an exercise to discourage what is left of the opposition.
Elections are a sham if government officials choose what we can know about things like their use of public office and whether we can openly debate what constitutes a legitimate public emergency and how to respond. Those who wish to operate in obscurity do not do so out of altruistic motives, no matter what story they tell about their activities. Will any entity effectively stand up to our mafia government and thereby prove that we are not already living in a soft-authoritarian police state?
