How to edit tweets in Twitter app?
- Open the app and sign in to your Twitter Blue account
- Find tweets you’ve posted within the last 30 minutes
- Click on the three dots on the top right
- Select the Edit Tweet option
- A screen will appear which will look similar to the one used to write tweets
- Make custom changes to the tweet like adding or deleting text, attaching or removing an image

Twitter Blue is a paid service that costs $4.99 per month. It allows users to read news articles without ads. It also unlocks new experimental features like the edit button. Here’s how to get the Twitter Blue account:
- Open the Twitter app
- Select Twitter Blue by selecting More on the left or you can also tap your profile picture in the top left
- Subscribe using your credit card, debit card, Google Pay or Apple Pay
- Once you have registered, you can use the feature

Limitations and facts in tweet editing
You can only edit a tweet that was sent within 30 minutes of you deciding to change it. You cannot edit a tweet that was posted more than 30 minutes ago.
When a tweet has been edited, a pencil icon appears on the post indicating that everyone can see that it was edited and also the time of the edit. A tweet can be edited five times. A version history would be available for each edited tweet.
Retweets, polls and replies cannot be edited. The tweet must be edited from the same device it was originally posted from.
This feature is only available in the Twitter app. Thus, you cannot edit your tweet when you access Twitter on your computer or laptop.
