After two days off, the Indianapolis Colts returned to the field Tuesday to begin the second week of training camp at the Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield.
Tuesday’s practice was a little different because it was the first time the Colts hit the boards and got physical. There were a lot of team drills and red zone work seemed to be the focus towards the end of practice.
Here’s a quick roundup of news, notes and highlights from Day 4 of Colts training camp:

Interesting thing I’ve noticed in camp: The Colts are sticking Stephon Gilmore to Alec Pierce on almost every rep. The vet is certainly getting the best of the rookie, but think how much it will help the youngsters expand down the line.

Michael Pittman Jr. just smoked Brandon Facyson on a route for a 43-yard TD by Matt Ryan.
Facyson has had a good camp as CB2, but this is a tough matchup even if you are physical.

Ryan faces a lot of pressure for the first time. Rolls straight and ends up to Mo Alie-Cox for a couple of positive yards. He held the ball for a while though. #Dogs

JoJo Domann and Curtis Brooks combined to blow up a maybe one yard run. Domann then had a near pass on the next play, with a tipped pass.

Frank Reich must not have liked how the offense ended practice. Suicide for the entire unit. Many of them.
