Jamaicans are known for being friendly and welcoming, and it seems that attitude has been recognized by the Uber app’s rental partners. The country was distinguished as one of the top 5 countries with the most valued users by rental partners in Latin America; it was also ranked second among countries in the Caribbean. Jamaican Uber drivers must be doing something right!
“Uber’s rating system is essential to maintaining a high level of service and improving the overall experience for both rental partners and users.” Uber said.
In its release, Uber went on to provide a 5-step strategy on how Jamaican Uber drivers can get better user reviews. This includes being punctual, being respectful, keeping the vehicle clean and being accurate about taking the location.
Uber was launched in 2010 to solve a simple problem: How to get a rental at the touch of a button? 15 million rentals later, the app continues to develop products that help people get where they want to be. By transforming the way people, food and other things move around the city, Uber opens up a new world of possibilities.
The app is currently available in over 10,000 cities worldwide in 76 countries on six continents.
Uber is available in Jamaica as of June 2021 in the Kingston, St. Andrew and St. Catherine.
