What is the match?
Jamaica Tallawahs take on Guyana Amazon Warriora in the 2022 Caribbean Premier League.
When is it taking place?
The match is scheduled to take place at 10:00 local time (GMT-5) on Saturday, September 3.
Where is the match played?
This game will be played at Warner Park in St Kitts.
Who has the form?
Jamaica Tallawahs got off to a flying start in the 2022 Caribbean Premier League, sweeping past defending champions St Kitts & Nevis Patriots by 47 runs.
Brandon King did the damage with the bat for the Tallawahs, making 89 off 57 balls and hitting six sixes. With the ball, Mohammed Amir, Chris Green and Imad Wasim all went for less than a run a ball.
This is the first campaign outing for the Guyana Amazon Warriors. The franchise came second in the league stage of the CPL 2021, but were then beaten by the Patriots in the semi-finals.

What is the match to watch?
The pivot attack on both sides will be critical to this game. Chris Green played in the powerplay and went for just 21 from four overs against St Kitts, while Imad Wasim was equally stingy, returning figures of 2 for 20, also playing in the first six overs. If tweakers Tallawahs can command as much control as possible against a power-packed Guyana top order, it will take their side a long way towards controlling the game overall.
On the other hand, Imran Tahir and Tabraiz Shamsi – both expected to be available for this game – don’t give Guyana the same kind of power-play options, but they offer prolific wicket-taking abilities in the middle of the innings and can in theory bowl eight together. This has the potential to choke Jamaica’s ranks.
Whichever offense does its job best can win this game for their team.
What’s the news from the camps?
Sandeep Lamichhane will arrive in the Caribbean on Saturday but it is not clear if he will be immediately available to play. In any case, Jamaica may be loathe to change a team that won so emphatically in its most recent outing.

This should be a belt match. There is a lot of star power in Guyana’s line-up, but Jamaica made a great start to the competition and we fancy them to keep it up here.
