James honored by Lone Star Conference

Trinidad and Tobago forward Asha James has been named the Lone Star Conference (LSC) Preseason Offensive Player of the Year for the 2022 season.

James, who is a junior at West Texas A&M, was named one of the LSC women’s soccer offensive players to watch for 2022.

The midfielder from Canaan, Tobago, started all 20 games for the Lady Buffaloes and scored 14 goals with three assists.

James was also named to the All-LSC Second Team and was named to the All-Region Second Team.

The 22-year-old, who also competed in cricket and track and field, is a psychology major at Texas A&M.
