Job title: Director – Entrepreneurship Development
Reporting to: CEO
Location: Invest Turks and Caicos – Providenciales
Under the overall supervision of the CEO, the Executive Director responsible for small business support will be required to manage all aspects of small business support including creating and administering annual budgets; ensuring the achievement of agreed achievements; preparation of fiscal reports; supervisory staff; identification and networking with partner agencies; and providing technical assistance to new and existing business owners.
Essential Functions
- Plans, coordinates and evaluates resources in a manner that will ensure the delivery of comprehensive services to the micro, small and medium community in TCI.
- In cooperation with the CEO, drafts the annual budget.
- Develops contracts and partnerships to generate additional revenue, including identifying and developing grant applications.
- Monitors grants and contracts for compliance and prepares quarterly and annual fiscal reports along with other required reports.
- Foster positive working relationships with public and private sector stakeholders and their staff, ensuring they are aware of Invest TCI services available to the micro, small and medium community and, as appropriate, advocate on behalf of micro, small and medium owners and young entrepreneurs.
- Provides direct communication and creates an ongoing working relationship with financial institutions, legal and trade associations, private consulting firms and micro, small and medium associations.
- Provides liaison between the college, chambers of commerce and other agencies involved in micro, small and medium assistance and economic development.
- Represents and is a lawyer on behalf of the micro, small and medium community near public and private institutions and organizations.
- Provides oversight and supervision to staff and consultants.
- Provides individualized consulting for small business clients.
- Develops and facilitates business workshops to support Invest TCI objectives.
- Provides presentations about Invest TCI and/or specific topics to classrooms, community organizations, financial institutions, government entities, and others.
- Participate in appropriate committees to promote the Invest TCI agenda.
- Participates in regional and international conferences and meetings of MSMEs within the budget allocations.
- Develops and/or coordinates a marketing plan, including social media and other electronic marketing, of Invest TCI’s small business services and programs.
- Develops and implements appropriate assessment procedures to ensure the quality of services provided.
- Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum job requirements
- Have completed a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four (4) year university with a major in business administration, public administration or related fields; MBA preferred.
- Four (4) years related experience with at least two (2) years of managerial/supervisory experience.
Salary: per year based on qualifications and experience.
