José Ribamar Garcia launches “Caminho dos Ventos”, located in the Amazon, where he brings real and historical facts, benefiting from COP 27 and talking about its biodiversity.
The 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference, more commonly known as COP 27, will be held from November 6 to 18, 2022 in Egypt, and conservation of the Amazon plays a central role in the global outcomes. With this in mind, and committed to the theme of sustainability, the writer José Ribamar Garcia launches the book “Caminho dos Ventos”, located on Amazon, showing the struggle of the northeastern sertanejos attracted by the extraction of rubber and the events that are part of the history of Brazil.
Writer José Ribamar Garcia, a feature writer from Piauí based in Rio de Janeiro and member of the Academia Piauíense de Letras, chose the Amazon, for its importance and biodiversity, telling stories of the region, the difficulties it faces, the birth of loves and cities, losses and victories.. The Amazon rainforest represents a third of the world’s rainforests, playing an essential role in maintaining ecology, soil quality, freshwater reserves and protecting fauna, flora and human life.
According to the author, “switching between solidarity, brotherhood and love, this work crosses a particular moment: when Brazil lost the train of prosperity because it had not mastered technology, a loss caused by the inertia of its rulers, supported by a dominant, selfish and narrow-minded elite, the consequences of which the people suffer to this day”.
Every passage of the book really happened, and the path taken by that wind changed the trajectory of millions of lives, real characters living inside and outside the forest, with its vast and indescribable biodiversity. The presentation of life with its ups and downs, with its reality, is the author’s hallmark.
About “Way of the Winds”
“The story within the story. Here Brazil is presented exactly the same as what we encounter every day, that is, especially antagonistic: sometimes full of joy and celebration, sometimes full of negligence and obvious inefficiency. Caminho dos Ventos is a generous breath of air in this great forest where we “live”, where you can often see only a tree that forgets everything around and where even progress is something doubtful. The heart of the Amazon is a man in a vast rubber plantation, where, with every tree that bleeds, rubber that flowing from it, like a dense tear, presents us with an aspect of this universe written with emotion and truth, because everything in this work goes far beyond Trust me: every passage of this narrative really happened and the way tracked by that wind changed the course of millions of lives, the real characters who are inside and outside this great forest of biodiversity and indescribable wonder.”
