JYC Enterprise, Inc. Recalls Chicken and Pork Potsticker Products Produced Without Benefit of Inspection

WASHINGTON, October 28, 2022 – JYC Enterprise, Inc., a Houston, Texas enterprise, is recalling approximately 33,280 pounds of frozen sticky chicken and pork products that have been repackaged, relabeled and distributed without the benefit of federal inspection, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service of the USA (FSIS) announced today.

Frozen labels have been repackaged and relabeled on various dates from February 22 to October 24, 2022. The following products are subject to recall [view labels]:

  • 16-lb. boxes of ASIAN PRIDE POTSTICKERS containing 330 CHICKEN POTSTICKER in 8 2-lb. clear plastic bags.
  • 16-lb. boxes of ASIAN PRIDE POTSTICKER containing 330 PORK POTSTICKER in 8 2-lb. clear plastic bags.

The products subject to the recall bear the company number “P-13186” or “Est. 13186” inside the USDA inspection mark. These items were shipped to restaurants in Wisconsin.

The problem was discovered during routine FSIS verification activities. FSIS determined that the firm repackaged and relabeled adhesive products without the benefit of federal inspection.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to the consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a healthcare provider.

FSIS is concerned that some products may be in restaurant freezers. Restaurants are asked not to serve these products. These products must be discarded or returned to the place of purchase.

FSIS routinely conducts recall effectiveness checks to verify that recall firms notify them recall customers and that steps have been taken to ensure that the product is no longer available to consumers. When available, the retail distribution list(s) will be posted on the FSIS website at www.fsis.usda.gov/recals.
