Kraft Heinz recalls contaminated Capri Sun juice pouches in the US Loop Barbados

Kraft Heinz is recalling thousands of bags of Capri Sun in the US after a cleaning solution was accidentally mixed with the liquid on a production line.

The company said it is recalling about 5,760 cases of Capri Sun Wild Cherry flavored juice mix.

The “Best By” date on the package is June 25, 2023.

Kraft Heinz said the diluted cleaning solution is used in its food processing equipment. The company said it discovered the solution had been accidentally mixed with the liquid after receiving consumer complaints about the taste of the liquid.

The recall does not apply to products sold outside the US.

Kraft Heinz, which has headquarters in Pittsburgh and Chicago, said in a statement Friday that it is working with retailers to remove the product.
