“The athletes competed aggressively today in Boston,” the head coach Lisa Glenn said. “Our 1V8 finished ninth and ahead of 16 collegiate crews. While not satisfied, the crew threw an aggressive 3-mile section and looks forward to continued improvement in the weeks of preparation ahead of the spring. The 2V8 raced well, making strides clear forward from their performance earlier in the fall. We are pleased to have fielded two eights for this competition, knowing it is critical in achieving our spring goals. Our team felt the reality of the phrase ‘Everywhere Tennessee’ as people from all over were cheering for the Rowing Vols as they raced the course.”
