The signing of the books “Meu Lance é Poesia” and “Protegi teu Nome por Amor”, both about Cazuza, with Lucinha Araujo and Ramon Nunes Mello, was busy at Itaú Cultural, in São Paulo, on Monday night, the 9- to. the event gathered several personalities from the artistic world such as Jão, Lobão, Wilson Sideral, Ana Cañas, Otávio Müller, Leda and Duda Nagle, Bela Gil, Flora Gil, Leona Cavalli, Bryan Behr, among many others. The guest list was managed by businessmen and promoters Liège Monteiro and Luiz Fernando Coutinho.
The program of the evening was full of tension: in addition to the autograph session, there was a conversation with the authors and Pedro Bial, a performance by the singer Almério and the special participation of members of the Escola de Samba Camisa Verde e Branco, which will honor Cazuza. at the next carnival.
‘Meu Lance é Poesia’ is a book that brings together 238 poems by Cazuza, among which 27 are unpublished, created between 1975 and 1989. Testimonies of partners are another highlight, such as the most important one, Roberto Frejat , who talked about 50 partnerships they have realized together; among other interpreters of the poet such as Ney Matogrosso, Sandra de Sá, Leoni, Arnaldo Antunes, Adriana Calcanhotto, Carlinhos Brown. The book is organized by the writer Ramon Nunes Mello.
‘Protegi tu Nome por Amor’ is a photobiography with more than 700 images that pay homage to Cazuza’s life and work. The cover of the book is signed by Vik Muniz. In addition to images that convey many stories, the book brings together testimonies from Cazuza’s main friends and partners – Waly Salomão, Caetano Veloso, Patricia Casé, Marina Lima, among others. The book was organized by Lucinha Araujo, Cazuza’s mother, and writer Ramon Nunes Mello. The works are published by WMF publisher Martins Fontes, together with Lucinha Araujo and Gege Produções.
