LINCOLN, Neb (KLKN) – The carnival at the Lancaster County Super Fair will open two hours later than scheduled Saturday due to extreme heat.
The carnival will now open at 2pm to keep people out of the early afternoon heat.
Temperatures are expected to reach 100, while the heat index is forecast to reach 110.
Amy Dickerson, the fair’s managing director, encouraged people to go out in the evening or spend time in the Lancaster Events Center’s many indoor spaces to avoid the heat.
