Last Minute Itinerary Change Confirmed for Carnival Cruise Ship

Carnival Journeys’ upcoming September 15, 2022 sailing at The miracle of carnivalsa 15-night round trip sailing from San Francisco to Hawaii has had an itinerary change and will no longer visit all previously scheduled Hawaiian ports.

Kauai has been removed from the ship’s itinerary and the days of visits to other ports have been changed. Kona has also been added to the schedule.

General itinerary Changed

The miracle of carnivals will depart on its Hawaii voyage from San Francisco on September 15 and will still return on September 30, but little of the ship’s Hawaii visit remains the same as previously planned for the voyage.

The Spirit-class ship will continue to sail for four days at sea before arriving in Hawaii, but three of the four Hawaiian port call days are now different.

Initially, The miracle of carnivals was scheduled for the following time in Hawaii:

  • Tuesday, September 20 – Kauai – 9 am to 6 pm
  • Wednesday, September 21 – Honolulu – From 9 am to 11 pm
  • Thursday, September 22nd – Maui – 8:00am – 11:00pm
  • Friday, September 23rd – Hilo – 8am to 5pm

Now, the ship’s route has been changed and the first three port calls are different. The new schedule is as follows:

  • Tuesday, September 20 – Honolulu – 9 a.m. to 11 p.m
  • Wednesday, September 21 – Maui – 9 a.m. to 11 p.m
  • Thursday, September 22 – Kona – From 9 am to 6 pm

Guests should note that not only have the visiting days in Honolulu and Maui changed, but the ship will also arrive in Maui an hour later than previously scheduled. If guests have booked independent shore tours while visiting these islands, appropriate changes will need to be made.

Shore excursions booked through Carnival Cruise Line will automatically adjust for day and time changes.

After island hopping in Hawaii, the ship will enjoy four days at sea before returning to the Pacific Coast, spending Wednesday, September 28 at Ensenada, Mexico from 3-8 p.m., and have one last day at sea before returning to San Francisco on Friday, September 30.

No explanation or compensation

No explanation was provided for the change in The miracle of carnivalsits itinerary, and guests may be understandably upset to miss The Garden Isle on their cruise, which is always a popular stop that embodies the tropical paradise atmosphere that Hawaii is known for.

It is possible that the change is due to conflicts with other ships, although no other cruise ships are scheduled for Kauai on September 20. However, the port handles other maritime traffic and may have to deal with security arrangements, congestion or other logistical difficulties related to other port businesses.

Another possibility is engine problems The miracle of carnivals, as Kauai is the farthest west port in the island chain the ship is scheduled to visit. However, this is somewhat unlikely, as the ship is showing no time changes for its other port calls on this long voyage and no engine difficulties have been reported.

No compensation is offered to guests for itinerary changes, although pre-booked shore excursions to Kauai organized through Carnival Cruise Line will be refunded and port charges adjusted for changes.

Cruise lines have full authority to change a ship’s itinerary for any reasonincluding operational, weather or safety concerns, without any compensation necessary.

88,500 gross tons The miracle of carnivals can welcome up to 2,124 double occupancy guests and up to 2,680 passengers when fully booked.

The ship has a lot to offer guests on these long Carnival Journeys itineraries, including all the classic favorites – Punchliner Comedy Club, Guy’s Burger Joint, RedFrog Rum Bar, BlueIguana Cantina, Bonsai Sushi Express, Waterworks aqua park, miniature golf course, Carnival Spa, and more.
