The marine brigade of the gendarmerie, alerted by a witness, remained on the spot for several hours. This Saturday (October 29), at the end of the morning, a body floating in the sea was seen at Cap Chevalier in Sainte-Anne. “The brigade is carrying out body recovery operations,” the gendarmerie said.
“It could be the body of the apnea diver missing since October 23,” he said. According to our elements, the feathers and the combination could correspond to the description of the forties.
Required for one week
Last Sunday (October 23), this 43-year-old apnea diver was reported missing after he went swimming with two fishermen near Îlet Chevalier. Search operations turned up nothing. In our edition of this weekend, the wife and daughter of Mathieu Danteaux challenge the population by asking them to be attentive.
At 4:30 p.m., gendarmerie operations and investigations were still ongoing.
