The Diocese of Guadeloupe learned with deep sorrow of the death of Father Sanner (Tipaul) at the Sacré Cœur de Basse-Terre nursing home (accommodation facility for dependent elderly), where he had resided for 10 years. He was a great servant of Christ and the Church as a priest, but also as a diocesan bursar. He was also one of the founders of Radio Massabielle. Deaf and almost blind, he had enough authority to take over the development of Ehpad’s church. Father Paul Sanner’s funeral will take place this Saturday, August 13 at 10:00 a.m. at the Notre-Dame de Guadeloupe Cathedral in Basse-Terre. The body will be on display at 8:30 a.m. at the bishop’s before the celebration. Radio Massabielle will accompany the tribute and broadcast the funeral mass live.
