Live updates: Birmingham Commonwealth Games, August 3 – Bowlers & basketballers play for bronze, squash stars Paul Coll & Joelle King face singles semis

Good morning and welcome to Newshub’s live coverage of the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, where we now have to get used to NO track cycling.

The flow of medals from the velodrome will be lacking, but there are still some on offer in other sports, with athletics and singles squash both reaching their peak.

This morning will see our Men’s Pre-Basketball and Women’s 3X3 Basketball play off for bronze medals, while squash stars Joelle King and Paul Coll square off in the singles semi-finals.

Front swimmers Jesse Reynolds and Josh Willmer will be chasing more medals in the 100m butterfly after their previous success.

The unbeaten Silver Ferns take on winless Trinidad & Tobago in netball, while the White Ferns take on Sri Lanka in T20 cricket.
