Allies of President-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT, progressive-globalist) have warned him of the pitfalls of choosing Fernando Haddad as head of the Ministry of Finance, writes Bloomberg online in his latest report.
Haddad said Lula da Silva’s interlocutors had little political skill to negotiate sharp agendas and deal with resistance in the financial market.
However, allies report that the president-elect is still keen to choose the former mayor of São Paulo. According to a close adviser, Lula da Silva has already weighed in on any negative reaction to Haddad.
