LUMA alega Hospital Universitario solicitó tiempo antes de intervenir y reparar avería de energía

LUMA Energy spokesman Hugo Sorrentini claimed on RADIO ISLA that the administration of the University Hospital of the Río Piedras Medical Center asked them for time before intervening and repairing the power outage.

“They have asked us to then wait for the right moment for them to make the repairs. We are waiting for the best moment. There is work being done inside the Medical Center and once these tasks are completed, we can respond,” said Sorrentini.

Their expressions arise at a time when the aforementioned hospital institution has been without electricity since two o’clock in the afternoon yesterday, August 7. Sorrentini did not specify how long it will take to restore service.

A patient at the University Hospital, who has preferred to remain anonymous, has denounced in this medium that there are others who are “doing cesarean sections with Tylenol” because the narcotic distribution system “knocked down” due to the lack of electricity.
