The luminaries were introduced to me through a friend who met them in Portugal. He came looking for me because he knew about my work in international trade and proposed that I not only do the import consultancy but also participate in the container.
In 2011 we made our first big import, bringing in a full container. It was crazy! A weight that we could not imagine! We called in a team of more than 20 men to move all those crystals.
We were amazed by the lighting fixtures. Our whole family fell in love and the house now has a river in every room!
I started selling them at fairs in different states of Brazil and had some nice meetings with people who also fell in love with them and became the first resellers.
So, during the first years, I started to format their sales and partnered with Paulo Goura.
Together we have had a very intense routine and a lot of travel, with long fairs from 10 to 30 days. Many roads, many hotels and many adventures!
In 2016, I met Bela and this routine started to get complicated. Hahaha. It was so far away and I missed you so much.
So we started to reduce the number of fairs abroad and concentrate more of our activities in Rio de Janeiro. In 2017, Bela and I started working together and together with 2 friendly companies we opened a store in Santa Teresa, a charming neighborhood in Rio. The space was very cheerful, always with music events and lots of culture.
It was another great adventure! And very troublesome. We spent the day doing street fairs, in Largo do Machado, Saens Peña, in the Center… and at night opening the space in Santa and closing at 2-3 in the morning. It was two years of great joy and a lot of effort.
In 2019 we decided to close the space and focus our work on e-commerce and it was the best decision! We have set up a studio in Santa Teresa, near our house, where we organize all our business and accept clients. Since then we have been able to develop and make it easier and more comfortable for the customer to buy and use the light.
We created a lighting catalog so that the customer can select parts for photos (each one is unique!), so that the customer can better understand how it works and its benefits, we created a manual with all the information and instructions of care. with them, to make their storage more comfortable, we created a perfect river storage package…. In addition, we created a new website and instagram…. and greatly improved the whole delivery process and service to the customer.
