The Bentley Mulsanne luxury car reportedly stolen from London, United Kingdom, was recovered during a raid conducted by the customs department in Karachi, Pakistan.
A report by a local media said that the raids by the Collector of Customs Enforcement (CCE) were conducted based on information provided by the United Kingdom’s intelligence agency.
The British intelligence agency had reportedly tipped off the CCE, Karachi, about a gray Bentley Mulsanne – V8 Automatic, VIN number SCBBA63Y7FC001375, engine number CKB304693 – which was parked at DHA, Karachi, Pakistan-based Business Recorder reported.
A physical check was conducted after strict surveillance at the location to verify the authenticity of the information, the report further stated. The high model car was found parked on the porch of a house.
The department has detained the owner of the vehicle and is continuing further investigations into the matter.
During questioning, the owner is reported to have said that the car was sold to him by another person, who had also agreed to clear the documentation process from the relevant authorities.
A video posted on Twitter by a user showed a striking gray Bentley parked on the porch of a house and being pushed by several people in what appeared to be an attempt to start the car.
