Maduro says Russia is interested in importing Venezuelan buffalo meat and derivatives.
According to the government, Venezuela has the largest buffalo herd in Latin America, followed by Brazil and Colombia in third place.
There are 2.9 million buffalo in the Caribbean; two thirds are women. 400,000 of them are involved in milk production, providing an average of six liters of milk per day for each animal, according to official figures.
In addition, the South American country has the dairy company Bufalinda, which produces 10,000 liters of buffalo milk per day.
Maduro reiterated that his government is working to make Venezuela a food producing and exporting power.
