In the countdown to a highly anticipated event there are LOTS of activities and fun competitions for everyone.
Leading up to the big day of the Maldon Carnival on Saturday, there are plenty of activities planned this week as part of the main event.
Tomorrow sees the return of the Bonniest Baby competition at Maldon Town Hall.
The fun competition seeks to find Maldon’s cutest baby in the 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months, 12-18 months, 18-24 months and 0-24 month twins classes.
The traditional event is from 1pm to 3pm, entries are £3 per child and £1 for additional spectators.

A car scavenger hunt is taking place on Thursday where people can get involved by following clues in their vehicles.
Organizers invite participants to bring their family and friends on a treasure hunt trip to various locations.
The hunt starts at the registration point at Plantation Hall in Heybridge, entries cost £6 per car.
So far this week, a family sports day and teddy bear picnic took place in Heybridge and a cash bingo event was enjoyed by residents at Maldon Town Hall on Monday.
A royal carnival children’s party took place at Maldon Town Hall today, which saw children get involved in games and a royal themed craft session.
