On Wednesday, people of all ages turned out for the Manheim Farm Show parade. The event held annually during Farm Show Week featured hundreds of floats, performers and animals. The parade could be the inspiration for a Hallmark movie with a small town, children laughing and dancing and parents reliving their childhood. “The kids really get excited seeing the tractors and the fire trucks and getting the candy that is thrown out,” said Manheim resident Jeff Schell. Antique tractors were pulling trailers filled with straw and hay, and the sidewalks were covered in candy wrappers. “I feel like people are quiet about the holiday season,” resident Katrina Schell said. The farm show continues on Thursday and ends on Friday.
