The Barbados Meteorological Services continues to closely monitor an area of disturbed weather embedded within the monsoon about 1,400 miles east of Barbados.
This system remains disorganized and is not yet expected to change much in terms of its structure as it tracks west-northwest around 10-15 mph over the next few days.
Over the past 24 hours extended forecast tracks have been persistent on a forecast track north of Barbados until the end of next week.
The next update will be published by 18:00 on August 28.

The Met Office warns that we are heading towards the peak of the hurricane season now
Barbadians are being warned to remember: “We are entering the peak of hurricane season and the public is urged to ensure their hurricane preparedness checklists are completed” to ensure they are on alert.

At the moment, the Barbados Meteorological Services is closely monitoring an area of disturbed weather embedded within the monsoon about 2,550 km or 1,585 miles east of Barbados.
This system remains disorganized and is not expected to change much over the next few days as it moves very slowly west-west-northwest. Extended forecast tracks at this time take the system well north of Barbados by the end of next week, however, the Met Office is strongly recommending that the public listen for daily updates over the weekend and early next week.
