The National Meteorological Service in San Juan (SNM) issued a heat warning for the cities of the North, Center and West of Puerto Rico.
The warning is in effect from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Heat readings between 102 and 109 degrees Fahrenheit are forecast.
High temperatures and humidity can cause health problems. Stay hydrated, in air conditioning, out of the sun and keep an eye on family and pets.
On the other hand, the agency told RADIO ISLA that rain is expected and that it should be concentrated in the Cordillera Central area, north and northwest of Puerto Rico. However, meteorologist Emanuel Rodríguez of SNM indicated that this does not mean that the metropolitan area will not experience rain.
