SOUTH FLORIDA – The Miami Jr. Carnival, presented by TD Bank, is set for Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Central Broward Regional Park (3700 Northwest 11th Place, Lauderhill, FL 33311) from 1:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. This enriching cultural event is not only a platform to showcase Caribbean culture and a great opportunity for young people to participate; it is a great way to develop art.
The day includes 10 sets of Jr. Masquerade. who will compete for prizes and bragging rights. The day is filled with Caribbean music, culture, colors and food.

Masquerade joining our parade of bands, a Soca competition, a pot competition, and many other youth-inspired activities. Masquerade Groups Jr
Jr bands in the competition include: Break Awe Kru, China Mas Kids, Fun Generation 2, Karvnival Kidz, La Familia, Major Players, Last Band Standing, Natural Disasters, Royalty Kids and Wassi Babes.
Sequence of events
The programming for the day includes a pan competition, a Jr. competition. Soca Calypso, Jr. Steelpan Competition. Music provided by DJ Sound Revolution. There will also be a tribute to Miya Marcano inside the Carnival Village. Miya was a big part of the Jr. Carnival family. while playing mas and was also the Miami Jr. Carnival Queen. of TD Bank children’s area there will be face painting, a photo booth and games for the kids. The Miramar High School Marching Band will also participate in the parade.
In a country of immigrants, the emergence of culture and the vibrancy of diversity are the pillars that make the United States exceptional. These pillars help to keep the culture alive and build a reality that contextualizes the community that the culture represents.
The impact of Caribbean American and American youth involvement in youth carnivals goes beyond the impression on the youth. The event enables children from other cultures to understand and appreciate art in a different format.
The Miami Junior Carnival is a focal point for young Caribbean families and families interested in Caribbean culture. Participants will understand the true meaning of Carnival and its importance to Caribbean culture.
