The elected representative Sonia Guajajara (Psol, left) has been confirmed as Minister of Indigenous Peoples. The official announcement should be made by Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT, progressive-globalist) in the coming days.
Guajajara was one of three names presented by Apib (Articulation of the Indigenous Peoples of Brazil) as suggestions for the highest position in the portfolio, which will be created by the next government.
