Bahian Miramar Mangabeira is what we can say, with certainty, to be a multifaceted artist. His gifts go beyond composing, singing and acting. She is a fighter in every sense and moment of her life and, those who know her, admire her for her generosity and her ability to keep, without giving in to the adversities of life, always confident, she is a woman with a smile broad, sincere and very spiritual.. There are no lack of friends and admirers, so there are many others! As an actress, she was invited by Nelson Pereira Santos to participate in the film Brasília 18%, opposite stars such as Bete Mendes, Bruna Lombardi, Malu Mader, Carlos Alberto Riccelli, among others.
In Washington DC, she sang at the city’s National Theater and was Queen of the Carmen Miranda Samba School. She sang at the W. DC Latino Festival, was the only “Brazilian” in the Tribute to Martin Luther King show. He also hosted the Chicago Hilton Carnival Ball in the US for 2,500 people. Released a CD by Seven Queens – independent label, in 1995 with the title “Vôo Livre” where he performed songs, in 5 languages, French, Italian, English, Spanish and Portuguese, which was only released in the USA.
In Brazil, he recorded the CD “Pedra 90” produced by the composer Carlos Colla. participated in several television programs on Bandeirantes, SBT, Record and Globo where he performed for the first time.
Since she already had her doors open in the US, she was invited back to perform at several theaters such as SOB in Miami, Scorpions in NY, Clube Português de Long Island, Clube Português de Boston, among others.
He performed on stages, such as the Othon Palace in Copacabana, in 2003 at the Teatro João Caetano, with the independent CD “Canta Brasil”, conducted by the late Ivan Setta and produced by Sérgio Hours at the Teatro Rival, singing in 100 years of Ary Barroso, also in theaters such as SESC in Madureira and Teatro Vinícius in 2005. She released two other independent CDs, “Bossanovando” and “Festejando Carmem”, in honor of the singer’s centenary, accompanied by the band Bola Preta, at the Carmen Museum Miranda, where he had previously performed, under the direction of the late Cássio Barsante, with a lecture by Ruy Castro on the book of Carmen.
Poet, is about to release his solo book, which will be released later this year in 2022.
Composer, she will release her self-titled EP Bird Blue on September 8th at Casa Julieta de Serpa. Singer Miramar Mangabeira also pays tribute to Tom Jobim, João Bosco, Caymmy and Ary Barroso, with a repertoire specially chosen for the show.
