Miss Guinea Ecuatorial 2022: Meet the winners

The Miss Equatorial Guinea 2022 final gala took place on Saturday, September 17 at the Parque Nacional de Malabo (Malabo National Park).

A total of 14 finalists representing different cities and districts of their country participated in the competition where three winners emerged at the end of the show.

Mrs. Mbini, Alba Elizabeth Obamawas crowned Miss Equatorial Guinea 2022. The 20-year-old professional model and pre-university student is expected to represent Equatorial Guinea in The 71st Miss Universe competition in January.

The second place was The breath of vanilla, a 20-year-old hotel receptionist and pre-university student representing Ebibeyen district. She will compete in The 71st Miss World editing.

Mary Martha Asong of Akonibe district was ranked third and will go to Miss International 2023 competition in Japan. She is a 20-year-old pre-university student who dreams of becoming a flight attendant.

The new queens succeeded last year’s titleholders Miss Universe Equatorial Guinea Martina Mituy Avomo, Miss World Equatorial Guinea Gladys Adjaba and Miss International Equatorial Guinea Victoria Kalu Gerona (for Miss International 2022).

Equatorial Guinea, a country in Central Africa, debuted in the Miss World pageant in 2012. Its national pageant, Miss Equatorial Guinea, was founded 10 years ago and is organized by Agencia Mouge. They sent their first representatives to Miss Universe and Miss International in 2019.
