Alicia Faubel, representing Comunidad Valenciana, was crowned Miss Universe Spain 2022 on Saturday, September 10 at Los Olivos Beach Resort in Tenerife.
The 25-year-old model beat 13 other beauties to win her national title and will now prepare to represent Spain at the 71st Miss Universe pageant.
The runners-up of the best 6 were first runner-up Laura Etayo Sarasa (Navarra), second runner-up María Alexandra Cucu (Andalucia), third runner-up Susana Lucía Medina Martin (Canarias), fourth runner-up Paula Ortega Madarieta (Catalonia), and fifth runner-up Noemí Sartal Loira (Galicia).
Last year’s winner Sarah Loinaz of Guipuzcoa relinquished her reign at the end of the event.
Spain has won Miss Universe once with Amparo Muñoz in 1974. She gave up her crown six months after winning the pageant and became a popular actress.
