project objectives
Fabric waste is a huge monster of the textile industry today, about 15% of what is bought ends up as waste, much of it with no known treatment. A MEI is capable of producing one ton of waste per year.
How are we doing to achieve our goal?
Our project transforms fabric waste into new raw material. Through physical/chemical transformations, synthetic fabrics become solid, moldable slabs. Opening up various possibilities of transformation.
Our vision for the future
Part of the waste produced in the pilot company is transformed into fashion accessories. In a project we call Reboard da ‘Fashion for Fashion’.
