Mozambican President asks EU for more weapons

On October 31, Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi asked the European Union (EU) for arms support to fight terrorism in Cabo Delgado.

“This support for Mozambique is not limited to non-lethal [equipment]given the need to make the “Defence and Security Forces strong for combat intervention”, Nyusi asked on the sidelines of the opening meeting of the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly in the Mozambican capital for three days.
