Mozambique has officially started exporting liquefied natural gas (LNG) produced in the north of the country, according to energy giant Eni SPA, the operator of the area with China National Petroleum Corp. as its partner.
Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi made the announcement on Sunday. This is the first shipment of gas under a long-term purchase and sale contract with British giant BP.
