Extraordinary Women in the Real Estate Market.

ELMA GIOVANELLI is part of the group of incredible women in the real estate market, author of the book EXTRAORDINARY WOMEN OF THE IMOBILIÁRIO MARKET and founder of EGIOVANELLI NEGÓCIOS IMOBILIÁRIOS, for over 10 years.

For a woman to make her mark in the fields dominated by men, she needs a lot of competence and a lot of struggle. In the real estate sector, this is no different.

And it is these achievements, precisely in this sector, that ELMA has already conquered and continues to grow and therefore, with great honor, participates in my project as one of the FEATURED WOMEN of ABSOLUTE RIO Magazine.

By law, only men could work as real estate agents until 1958, when women were allowed to do so.

However, it was only in the 1990s that women’s participation in this sector became greater and the female public stood out for investing in improving customer relations.

Let’s get to know who ELMA GIOVANELLI is.

“First of all I want to leave my love and thanks to God, above all, because He empowers us and I would like to record a testimony of how God has been extremely caring and loving with my life.

13 years ago I survived a stroke and 6 years ago I discovered breast cancer, but with God’s intervention, my treatment was successful and I have recovered.

I really appreciate living every day of my life, I always try to find a greater purpose in everything I propose to do and if I recover, it is because God still has many plans and projects for me.

One of my greatest emotions was the wedding of my daughter, Giullia Giovanelli, it was as moving and magical as the day she was born. Some notes of the decoration and delicacy of this day that everything was exactly as he had dreamed.

My first degree was in Business Administration and I worked for years in the insurance field.

When I had my second child, I decided to dedicate myself to motherhood, to have mother time.

However, as I am driven by the challenges of being a mother, I decided to study Psychology.

I was fascinated by studying Psychology, understanding the dynamics of human behavior and worked as a clinical psychologist for almost 2 years, but one day, crossing the street, a taxi driver hit me straight, throwing me away. I almost became a quadriplegic, it was a miracle and I thank God every day that I walk today.

Due to the accident I was in bed for a long time and a friend came to me who introduced me to the real estate profession. I didn’t know anything about this profession, but I started doing research, entered the CRECI website and visited other sites related to the real estate market.

I started reading a lot of articles, I didn’t have any friends who were realtors or real estate managers, but this new challenge had already stirred my heart. I enrolled in the estate agent training course, sent my CV to a few real estate agencies and was quickly called to work for a high end real estate company that operated heavily in the southern area but had a branch in Barra .

That’s how it all started!

As a resident of Barra for 25 years, I knew the various developments that appeared and on my days off I cycled through the streets of Jardim Oceânico-Barra da Tijuca, to familiarize myself with the names of the streets, their characteristics, etc. . I took my car and asked to enter the big buildings to see the infrastructure because I wanted to experience the experience that the resident has when living there.

I had several ideas and projects that I wanted to put into practice to facilitate the search for a client, and my desire for a challenge and willingness to undertake made me appreciate:

“WHY NOT BUILD MY OWN REAL ESTATE?”

So it was – I founded Egiovanelli Negócios Imobiliários 10 years ago. I assembled the team and brought the customer the experience they would like to have, as every customer is an opportunity for us to be a differentiator in their life. My side as a psychologist brought this image, brought this expectation to the client.

Today my team is extremely focused on providing the best service and the best customer experience you won’t find anywhere else. We have weekly trainings, where I make the team reflect for each client of the week, on their dynamics and experiences”.

I am part of the book EXTRAORDINARY REAL ESTATE WOMEN. where I recorded the trajectory of my personal and professional life, thanking Mellisa Tagliaferri for inviting me to write and participate in this extraordinary project. There are 20 business women in the national segment of real estate and agents, admirable women, able to move people with their stories of overcoming, to share some of their knowledge and experiences. A respectable overview, I’m sure many insights will emerge upon reading, both for beginners and more experienced brokers.

I wrote about “Journey to Buy” (negotiation techniques, among other things) and @kelly_monteiro.01 wrote about real estate financing, as a sales facilitator for the broker.

On October 20th we had the book launch, in the presence of my business partners, friends and clients who honored us and partook in a delicious cocktail washed down with very cold drinks.
