On the fourth day of Elon Musk’s whirlwind Twitter revamp, he flew to New York. His team then met with advertisers, a sign that Musk wants to allay concerns that his free speech statements would make the site inhospitable to ads.
The New York meetings followed an outreach to ad clients by Twitter chief commercial officer Sarah Personette in recent days, assuring them that Musk was committed to advertising. “We have not yet made any changes to Twitter’s content moderation policies,” she said in a note to advertisers first seen by The Information.
