Jeremy Solozano’s half-century guided Narine XI to a 38-run victory over Pollard XI in a test match at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy on Wednesday.
Solozano hit 72 off 111 balls and Kirstan Kallicharan took 31 not out as Narine’s XI posted 156 for 4 in 40.1 overs.
Rayad Emrit took 1 for 12 in four overs, while Ricky Jaipaul took 1 for 17 off 4.1.
After a rain break, the Pollard XI were set a revised target of 192 for victory.
However, Mark Deyal took 2 for 25 and Jason Mohammed 1 for 12 to restrict Pollard XI to 153 for 8 in their allotted overs.
T&T players are preparing for the CG Insurance SUper50 Cup, which will be played in Trinidad and Antigua in October-November.
