It is clear that the ever-despicable Keith Rowley has abandoned his duties as Prime Minister.
He has shown conclusively that he will stoop to the lowest possible levels to deflect attention.
Hypocritically, this is the same man who only two weeks ago cried from a PNM platform that he wanted “some respect” from Kamla Persad-Bissessar. But his weird Facebook posts show that he deserves nothing.
Meanwhile, he has left our infrastructure to rot and clog, causing hundreds of families and farmers to suffer millions of dollars in damages and losses, and neglected our national security so that criminals can run free in broad daylight, killed and robbed with impunity. .
As flooding and crime have reached unprecedented levels in our history, Keith Rowley has had nothing to say about it, but is instead taking to Facebook. Indeed, he is really like the half-mad, thoroughly evil, depraved, evil-minded Roman emperor Caligula.
In UNC’s Virtual Report on Monday 14 November, Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar provoked Rowley when she declared: “Imagine when the whole country was horrified by the scenes of primary school children – we saw the videos and the pictures – sitting under the desks at their desks. the schoolroom, gunshots—Rowley took the pip. He fell completely silent.
“When every part of Trinidad and Tobago is flooded – Rowley still has pipes. Not a word from him.
“When the murders are now over 535 and counting – this man still has a pipe.
“But over the weekend he found something to talk about. He made a public statement, he posted on Facebook – a photo of himself playing golf with a great man, Sir Vivian Richards…
“And imagine this. He should hold the record for the number of cases when someone has been infected with Covid. He could not come to Parliament on Friday. Yet miraculously, the next morning, as you saw the picture, the first thing, the first line of business, the first priority, was not about the crime, nor the floods, nor the suffering. First line of business, first priority is to go and play golf.
“And this is so funny. They can’t fix crime, they can’t fix infrastructure. They want to fix West Indies cricket.
Persad-Bissessar continued, “If you think you’re going to distract us from going and talking about West Indies cricket, yes, I will talk about it, just to say, what nonsense are you talking about?
“You can’t do one thing right. So don’t even touch the people’s cricket. Do not touch it.”
“People want choices. They want you to call that election now so we can vote Rowley PNM!”
“We’re not going to let you go… We’re not going to let you forget Nelsongate because that’s what you want us to do. Talk about cricket? Bam! Nelsongate went out the window? No way!”
UNC will not allow Keith Rowley to distract the country from his corruption, his misconduct in public office and his ruthless destruction of our once beautiful Trinidad and Tobago.
No matter how increasingly obnoxious, offensive and provocative he becomes.
Keith Rowley is a disaster for Trinidad and Tobago, at every level. We will not be distracted. The UNC remains focused on saving Trinidad and Tobago by removing him and his constitutional party from office as soon as possible.
