The Canadian experience was included in a list of only 25 breathtaking places in the world.
National Geographic has included indigenous tourism facilities in Alberta, Canada as one of its top 25 breathtaking destinations and experiences for 2023.
The 25 destinations have been selected by the global editors of the international publication and are tailored from five categories: Community, Nature, Culture, Family and Adventure.
Experiences of local Alberta tourism producers were selected as sites to “experience how old traditions and contemporary perspectives intersect.”
Weasel Tail Enterprises, for example, offers First Nations activities and experiences in the beautiful foothills of the Rocky Mountains. They hold discussions in their tipi and participate in hiking, horseback riding, and swimming. There are also various activities led by indigenous people.
