WHO:The Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services offers residents a cool place to beat the high temperatures.
Background:The National Weather Service has issued a heat warning covering San José from Saturday, September 3, 2022 through Tuesday, September 6. Three locations will serve as “cooling centers” during this time period.

While cooling off, residents have access to bottled water, free Wi-Fi and outlets to charge devices.

For the safety of cooling center staff and visitors, face coverings must be worn while in the cooling center. To provide access and conserve space, all large items, such as bicycles, should stay outside.

For additional cooling tips, visit the Santa Clara County website.
