With Hispanic Heritage Month well underway, The Swoosh is continuing to expand its list of tributes after kicking off the celebration with a pair of the Air Force 1 and Air Trainer 1. Using a rare amount of offerings over the past few months, Nike is uses the Air Max 1 for his latest tribute to Latin American culture.
Offering different textiles compared to its typical construction, the mesh and heel bottom instead opts for a tight knit texture, treated in vibrant cream and orange, while the midfoot overlay creates the silhouettes nuance rich of the dominant pumpkin. The upper fabric incorporates sculpted floral motifs that fill the forefoot mudguard and lower heel tab, while the Swooshes inject other titular hues that carry a gold suede check finished with sketched stitching for its medial counterpart. Additional embellishments include lime green eyelets, embroidered branding and the model’s signature Somos Familia insoles before the sole unit is finished off in a neutral-toned flagship ensemble with an eggshell midsole and a step with chewing gum.
