CLEMSON, SC – No. 1 Clemson Tigers will host Presbyterian College on Monday night at Historic Riggs Field. Kick-off is set for 19:00, while the match will be broadcast on ACCNX.
The Tigers (6-1-0) enter the game as the top-ranked team in the country. Clemson will look to bounce back from a 2-1 loss to No. 16 Syracuse on Friday night. Playing without Ousmane Sylla, Derek Waleffe and Hamady Diop, the Tigers scored the first goal of the game, but conceded the next two goals and suffered their first loss of the season.
Clemson is 3-0 all-time against Presbyterian, with the Tigers outscoring the Blue Hose 15-0 all-time. The last time the two teams met was in 1992 resulting in a 5-0 Clemson victory.
Tigers standout Ousmane Sylla has led the way for Clemson, scoring four goals and dishing out five assists in just six games so far. He has tallied a point in every contest this season and is tied for the ACC lead in points with 13.
He is joined atop Clemson’s scoring charts by senior forward Mohamed Seye, who has assisted on three of Sylla’s goals. He added two of his own and also picked up four points in two games, bringing his season total to eight. He is tied for third in the conference in assists.
Presbyterian travels to Clemson a perfect 5-0 on the season. Most recently, the Blue Hose defeated Wofford 3-2.
